Jennifer Holland (author)

Jennifer S. Holland (* 20th century) is an American journalist and non-fiction author .

Jennifer Holland is a journalist who writes articles for the US magazine of the National Geographic Society on science and natural history. Some of her articles also appeared in the German-language edition of the magazine, National Geographic Germany . Holland became known through the New York Times bestseller Unlikely Friendchips , which appeared in German under the title Unequal Friends and describes friendships between animals of different species. The book was also translated into French ( Drôle de couples , ISBN 978-2-7096-4244-6 ), Italian ( Amici veri , ISBN 978-88-04-62333-5 ), Dutch ( Onmogelijke Brille: 47 opmerkelijke verhalen uit het dierenrijk ) and Swedish ( Bästa vänner: 47 berättelser om osannolik vänskap mellan djur , ISBN 978-91-7401-528-7 ). In 2012, three English-language children's books about unusual animal friendships were published.

Holland is married and lives with her husband in Silver Spring , Maryland .
