Jennifer Holt

Jennifer Holt (born November 10, 1920 in Hollywood , California , † September 21, 1997 in Dorset , England ; actually Elizabeth Marshall Holt ) was an American actress.

Jennifer Holt was born in Hollywood, California to actor Jack Holt and his wife Margaret Woods. She and her brother Tim both had acting careers.

She made her film debut in 1941 under the stage name Jacqueline Holt in a western with Hopalong Cassidy . During the 1940s she starred in 47 other films, mostly westerns , in which she appeared on the side of cowboy stars like Lash LaRue and Johnny Mack Brown . Holt made her last film in 1949 and then hosted the TV show Panhandle Pete and Jennifer in 1950 as the second host , of which only one season was produced. During the 1950s, she occasionally had minor roles in western series such as The Gabby Hayes Show and Tales of Wells Fargo .

Although the popularity of western films declined during the 1970s, western film festivals became increasingly popular with fans of the genre. There Holt had occasional appearances as a guest star. Jennifer Holt was married twice, but both marriages ended in divorce. Her second husband was the actor William Bakewell . She lived in Mexico for a while and died in Dorset , England in 1997 .
