Jennifer Siebel Newsom (born June 19, 1974 in San Francisco ) is an American actress and producer.

Life

Jennifer Siebel graduated with honors from Stanford University and Stanford Business School . After completing her studies, she worked on behalf of Conservation International , a global environmental organization, in Africa , Latin America and Europe . Her father, Ken Siebel, is an investment banker and co-founder of Conservation International, and her mother, Judy Siebel, is a co-founder of the Bay Area Discovery Museum in Sausalito. On July 26, 2008, Jennifer Siebel married the then mayor of San Francisco and now California governor Gavin Newsom .

After studying and working for Conservation International , she moved to Los Angeles to become an actress and producer . Since then she has appeared in many studio and independent films and some television series . Some of these films were the Film Festival in Cannes and Toronto shown and awarded prizes.

Jennifer Siebel founded Girls' Club Entertainment LLC . The company produces independent films with strong social, political and cultural significance. Above all, topics are taken up that deal with social problems in a gender-critical manner. This is how the independent film “The Trouble with Romance” came into being in 2007 and the documentary Miss Representation in 2011 , which deals with the image of women in the media according to the motto you cannot be what you cannot see .

Siebel had a recurring guest role in the NBC television series " Life ", which is broadcast in Germany on the VOX channel.
