Jenny Gago

Jenny Gago (born September 11, 1953 in Peru ) is an American actress of Peruvian descent.

Life

Jenny Gago holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles . She then studied acting with Lee Strasberg . She made her debut in the 1981 television drama A Gun in the House .

Gago played in the adventure film Old Gringo (1989) on the side of Jane Fonda and Gregory Peck one of the bigger roles, for which she received the Golden Eagle Award . She took on the role of Maria Sanchez in the drama My Family (1995) , played by Jennifer Lopez when she was young . For the role in the television series Dangerous Minds , she was nominated in 1996 for the NCLR Bravo Award and in 1998 for the ALMA Award . In the movie The Cross (2001) she played the role of the mother of Jesus.

Gago has a son.
