Jenny Meldrum
Jenny Meldrum (actually Jennifer Anne Meldrum, nee Wingerson; born April 12, 1943 in Toronto ) is a former Canadian hurdler and pentathlete .
In 1963, she won silver over the 80 m hurdles at the Pan American Games in São Paulo .
At the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1964, she was eliminated from the 80 m hurdles in the preliminary run and came in 13th place in the pentathlon .
In 1966 she won bronze in the 80 m hurdles at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Kingston ; She was sixth in the long jump and ninth in the shot put . The following year she won silver in the pentathlon and in the 4-by-100-meter relay at the Pan American Games in Winnipeg in 1967 ; over 80 m hurdles and in the long jump she was eighth.
At the 1968 Olympics in Mexico City, she was eleventh in the pentathlon ; over 80 m hurdles she did not get past the first lap again.
In 1970 she won bronze in the pentathlon at the British Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh and failed over 100 m hurdles in the preliminaries. At the Pan American Games in Cali in 1971 , she was sixth in the 100 m hurdles.
She was five times Canadian champion over 80 m hurdles (1962-1965, 1967), four times in the long jump (1961, 1965-1967) and three times in the pentathlon (1965, 1967, 1970).
