Jens Bauditz

Jens Bauditz (* 1981 in Dresden ) is a German choir director and conductor, he has been leading the New Boys Choir Hamburg since 2012 .

Career

In his childhood he sang in the Dresden Kreuzchor . As a boy he appeared as a soloist in the Semperoper Dresden, the Staatstheater Cottbus and the Komische Oper Berlin . As the first prefect of the Kreuzchor, he later gained early experience as a conductor. To promote his musical talent, he was awarded the 10th Rudolf Mauersberger grant of the Dresden Kreuzchor in 2002.

He completed his studies as a choir conductor with Jörg-Peter Weigle at the “Hanns Eisler” University of Music in Berlin, where he also obtained his diploma in singing and vocal pedagogy. In master classes he worked with Frieder Bernius , Denis Rouger, Stefan Parkman and the Hilliard Ensemble, among others .

Parallel to his studies, he was already active as a conductor of several outstanding choirs, including the ensemble "arcanum musicae", consisting of alumni of the Dresden Kreuzchor, and the chamber choir "cantamus berlin". He also worked as a lecturer at the “Hanns Eisler” University of Music as the director of the choirs at the “Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach” high school . Concert tours have taken him to the USA, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Russia, Poland, Austria, France and Finland.

Since January 2012 he has headed the entire boys 'choir school of the New Boys' Choir Hamburg, in which a total of 130 boys sing from the pre-choirs to the main choir.
