Jens Dautzenberg

Jens Dautzenberg (born May 24, 1974 in Aachen ) is a former German athlete from Aachen who specialized in the 400 meter course . He has been a member of the board of directors of Alemannia Aachen since 2014 .

career

With a family background, Jens Dautzenberg joined the athletics department of Alemannia Aachen as a child and concentrated on running disciplines from an early age . As a teenager, he specialized in the 400-meter route, which he then remained true to until the end of his career. His greatest successes were:

  • Second of the Junior European Championships in 1993 in the 4 x 400 meter relay
  • German junior champion 1996
  • German champion 1997
  • Second in the German championships in 2002
  • Third in the German championships in 1998
  • Sixth in the German Championships in 1996
  • Eighth of the German Championships in 1995

It was set up twice by the German Athletics Association (DLV) for participation in the IAAF - Athletics World Cup . In 1998 he reached fifth place in Johannesburg with his teammates Klaus Ehmsperger, Marc Alexander Scheer and Nils Schumann and in 2002 in Madrid with Ingo Schultz , Ruwen Faller and Lars Figura he came sixth.

His personal best is 45.97 s, recorded on June 11, 1997 in Cottbus .

He remained loyal to his hometown club Alemannia Aachen until 2000. He then started for LG Olympia Dortmund and from 2001 for VfL Wolfsburg . After completing his studies in business administration with a focus on marketing , Jens Dautzenberg ended his active career in 2005.
