Jens Ehrhardt

Jens Ehrhardt (born March 17, 1942 in Hamburg ) is fund manager , asset manager and publisher of the weekly stock market newsletter Finanzwoche since 1974 .

Life

Ehrhardt, who came from a family of ship brokers on his mother's side and was the son of the photographer and documentary filmmaker Alfred Ehrhardt , studied business administration at the University of Hamburg and at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich from 1962 to 1968 . In 1969 he became a partner in the asset management company Portfolio Management .

In 1974 Jens Ehrhardt founded his own asset management company, Dr. Jens Ehrhardt Vermögensverwaltung based in Munich after the same year with a thesis on price determinants in the stock market with special reference to monetary determinants doctorate was. In his doctoral thesis he showed the connection between the increase in the money supply by the central banks and the development of the stock market .

The Dr. Ehrhardt Vermögensverwaltung has been operating as Dr. Jens Ehrhardt Kapital AG and was renamed DJE Kapital AG on July 1, 2008 . The company is based in Pullach .

Ehrhardt is the father of two children.
