Jens Görtz (born August 28, 1957 in Bremen ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and member of the Bremen Parliament .

education and profession

From 1976 to 1980 Jens Görtz was trained as a toolmaker at Lloyd Dynamowerke in Bremen . After obtaining his technical college entrance qualification , he completed his studies in mechanical engineering at the University of Bremen as a graduate engineer. He then completed his studies in Berlin with a degree in industrial engineering. In 1986 he joined the project management team of Daimler-Benz AG in Bremen . In 1988 he moved to the administrative department, investment coordination and controlling for technical planning, where he was responsible for economic and technical auditing and controlling of investment projects in the plant.

Jens Görtz has been a member of the SPD since 1976. He worked in various functions for his party, including three years Juso regional executive. From 1982 to 1984 he was a member of the AStA and the Academic Senate of the University of Bremen. From 1978 to 1983 he was subdistrict delegate of the SPD and during this time on the board of the local association Osterholz-Ost. From 1990 he was again sub-district delegate and again on the board of this local association. He has been the state delegate since 1992 and chairman of the Osterholz-Ost local association since 1994. From 1990 to 1995 he was a member of the advisory board at the Osterholz local office.

He was a member of the Bremen Citizenship from June 25, 1999 to June 7, 2003. Most recently, he was again a member of the Bremen Citizenship since June 16, 2003, initially only the city citizenship, since October 24, 2003 also the citizenship as state parliament. At the end of the 2007 electoral term, he left this.

In the citizenry he was represented in the works committees of the Bremen Music School, Bremen City Library and Bremen Adult Education Center and Waste Management, as well as in the State Advisory Board for Sport and in the Petitions and State Audit Committee.
