Jens Lyberth

Jens Lyberth (born December 30, 1952 in Sisimiut ) is a Greenlandic politician ( Siumut ), trade unionist and broadcast director .

Life

Amalie Lyberth's son was trained as an office worker in Upernavik Township and Qaqortoq Township . In 1974 he became convention consultant at Grønlands Arbejder Sammenslutning , in 1978 head of the secretariat there and from 1980 to 1987 chairman of the Greenland trade union. At the same time as his position as union chairman , he was also the administrative chairman of Sulisartut Højskoliat in Qaqortoq . In 1984 he was first elected to the Inatsisartut . In 1987 he was re-elected and appointed Minister for Culture, Education and the Labor Market in the Motzfeldt IV cabinet and remained the same in the Motzfeldt V cabinet that was newly formed in 1988 .

Furthermore, from 1980 to 1984 he was chairman of the vocational training and for a time chairman of the administration of Godthåb Fiskeindustri and member of the Council for Mineral Resources in Greenland. Later he was director of Kalaallit Nunaata Radioa .
