Jens Ramme
Jens Ramme (born August 2, 1963 in Halberstadt ) is a former German soccer goalkeeper .
Athletic career
Jens Ramme began his football training at the children's and youth sports school (KJS) in Magdeburg . About the second division Glückauf Sondershausen , Lok Halberstadt and WK Schmalkalden , he moved in 1985 to the GDR league at Dynamo Dresden , where he was integrated into the second team. At the Saxons, Ramme acted temporarily as a substitute goalkeeper behind regular goalkeeper Bernd Jakubowski .
Ramme, who to date had only played one top division game for Dynamo, gained national fame in March 1986 when he played in the European Cup against Bayer 05 Uerdingen . In the so-called Wunder von der Grotenburg he was substituted on for the injured Jakubowski after a 3-1 half-time lead for Dynamo Dresden and had to accept six goals in the second half, including two penalties.
“That was my end at Dynamo. That gave me a stamp that I never got rid of, ”said Ramme, taking stock of his career. Ramme played ten league games for Dresden, but the club quickly found a replacement in Ronny Teuber . In 1988 Ramme switched to progress in Bischofswerda and had to end his career after a serious hand injury.
