Jerónimo Xavierre
Jerónimo Xavierre OP (* 1546 in Saragossa , † September 2, 1608 in Valladolid ) was a Spanish Dominican and cardinal .
Life
He entered the Dominican Order in 1562 and was appointed General of his Order in 1601 . In 1606 he was appointed confessor of King Philip III of Spain . On December 10, 1607 he was also appointed cardinal priest on the intervention of Duque de Lerma , but he never went to Rome to receive the cardinal's hat and a title.
