Jerry Labriola Junior

Gerald "Jerry" Labriola Junior (* in Naugatuck , Connecticut ) an American lawyer and politician ( Republican Party ).

Life

Jerry Labriola junior was born to Jerry Labriola and his wife Lois in Naugatuck. He grew up with two siblings. He studied at Gettysburg College , where he received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in 1979 . He then studied at the Law School of the Catholic University of America , where he received a law degree in 1982 . From 1984 to 1992, he worked for the Hartford- based law firm Pepe & Hazard, LLP . He was also Naugatuck's Town Attorney from 1989 to 1991 . In 1993 he founded the law firm Labriola and Labriola, LLC in Naugatuck with his brother David Labriola .

From 2006 to 2011 he was Treasurer of the Connecticut Republican Party. In 2010 he ran for the seat in the United States House of Representatives for the third constituency of the state of Connecticut, but was defeated by the Democratic incumbent Rosa DeLauro . In 2011 he replaced Chris Healy as chairman of the Connecticut Republican Party. In 2015 he renounced another term as party chairman. He justified this with the poor performance of his party in the last elections. The new party chairman was JR Romano .

Labriola is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association . He is married and has children.
