Jesús Goyzueta Cárdenas (* 1947 in Peru ) is a former Peruvian soccer goalkeeper .

Career

Jesús Goyzueta began his playing career in 1967 in Lima with Mariscal Sucre . He joined Juan Aurich for two years . In 1970 he moved to Universitario de Deportes . With this club he became Peruvian champion in 1971 and twice runner-up. In 1973 and 1974 he played for Unión Tumán until he moved to CD Veracruz in Mexico for the first time in 1975 . After another move to Juan Aurich, he went to El Salvador to the Sonsonate Fútbol Club in 1977 and to Venezuela to the Valencia Fútbol Club in 1978 , where he ended his active career in 1979.

National team

Goyzueta was part of the Peruvian squad at the 1970 World Cup in Mexico without an international match . As the third goalkeeper behind Luis Rubiños and his club colleague Rubén Correa , he was not used during the tournament. It was only after the World Cup in 1971 that he played two games for the Peruvian national soccer team .
