Jess Walter
Jess Walter (born July 20, 1965 in Spokane , Washington ) is an American journalist and writer .
Life
Jess Walter graduated from Eastern Washington University . He then worked as a journalist for magazines such as Newsweek , Washington Post and the Boston Globe . He worked for The Spokesman Review for the Randy Weaver incident at Ruby Ridge . The story was later processed in the 1995 non-fiction book Every Knee Shall Bow , which was filmed a year later with the film drama The Siege of Ruby Ridge . Walter's first novel Over Tumbled Graves was published in 2002 under the title Fall of Sins as a hardcover and in 2003 under the title Stummes Echo as a paperback with Heyne Verlag .
He lives in his childhood home in Spokane with his wife and three children.
