The Jessnitz is a river in the Türnitz Alps in Lower Austria .
The Jessnitz rises on the northern slope of the Winterbacher Ötscher, a mountain ridge southwest of Winterbach , flows through St. Anton an der Jeßnitz to flow into the Erlauf at Neubruck .
Notation
While the river is written according to the new spelling Jessnitz , Jeßnitz (Jeßnitzbrücke, Jeßnitztal, Jeßnitzhof, St. Anton an der Jeßnitz) is still used in the local context .
