Jette Fuglsang

Jette Cathrine Fuglsang (born May 31, 1978 in Thisted , † July 13, 2009 near Le Bourg-d'Oisans , France ) was a Danish cyclist .

Jette Fuglsang was a road cyclist who was above all a specialist in individual time trials . She began her career at clubs in Thisted and rode for the Thy Cykle Klub , Vejle CK and CK Aarhus clubs until 2007, for the Fredericia CC cycling team in 2008 and for Team High-End Sport in 2009 . In her career she achieved five victories, in 2007 and 2008 she was the most successful Danish cyclist. In 2007 she won the Danish championship in the team time trial with Maria Kruse . In addition to her sporting career, Fuglsang worked in a department store in Vejle . During a training session in her last active season, the Dane had an accident on a descent in the French Alps near Le Bourg-d'Oisans near L'Alpe d'Huez and succumbed to her injuries shortly afterwards.

Jette Fuglsang was not related to the cyclist Jakob Fuglsang .
