Yevgeny Valeryevich Borisov

Evgeni Valerjewitsch Borissow ( Russian Евгений Валерьевич Борисов , English transcription Yevgeniy Borisov ; born March 7, 1984 in Klimovsk , Moscow Oblast ) is a Russian hurdler who specializes in the 110-meter distance .

At the European Athletics Championships in 2006 in Gothenburg, he was eliminated in the preliminary run.

In 2008 he won bronze in the 60 meter hurdles at the World Indoor Championships in Valencia and qualified for the Olympic Games in Beijing , where he did not get past the first round.

In 2009 Borissow was fifth at the European Indoor Championships in Turin over 60 meter hurdles and reached the semi-finals at the World Championships in Berlin .

In 2010 he was fourth in the 60 meter hurdles at the World Indoor Championships in Doha .

Yevgeny Borissow is trained by Igor Arabadschew and starts for the Dinamo club .

At the end of January 2018, the World Athletics Federation ( IAAF) announced that Borissov was disqualified due to a positive doping test during the 2009 World Championships in Berlin from August 20, 2009 to August 19, 2011 and will be suspended from September 29, 2017 to September 28, 2019.
