The Jezero Joca [ ˈjɔt͡sa ] ( Cyrillic Језepo Јоца ) is a fishing lake in the Serbian part of Vojvodina .
The lake is located five kilometers southwest of Belo Blato and is part of a chain of lakes at the mouth of the Bega in the Tisza , the other end of which is the Belo jezero . It is about 535 hectares and has an average depth of 0.77 meters. The lake was created in the middle of the 20th century with the completion of the canalization and reclamation of the lowland area formed by the confluence of the Bega into the Tisza, which began in the 18th century .
The lake is very popular with pike anglers who also come from other European countries to fish. But there are also other types of fish in the lake, such as carp or catfish . The lake is located in the middle of a large nature reserve that is also inhabited by jackals . Evening fishing is also allowed, but not on the platforms on the lake. No fishing license is required for fishing in Serbia , only a daily fee has to be paid. It is possible to reserve platforms on the lake.
