Jiří Pauer
Jiří Pauer (born February 22, 1919 in Libušín near Kladno , † December 28, 2007 in Prague ) was a Czech composer .
Pauer studied with Otakar Šín , from 1943 to 1946 at the Prague Conservatory with Alois Hába and with Pavel Bořkovec at the Academy of Performing Arts . Here he later taught composition.
He created several operas , symphonies and other orchestral works, a horn and a trumpet concerto, chamber music works and piano pieces. One of his most frequently performed pieces is his bassoon concerto from 1949.
