Jiřina Jirásková (born February 17, 1931 in Prague ; † January 7, 2013 there ) was a Czech actress .

Life

Jiřina Jirásková studied acting at the Prague Conservatory . Then she played at the theater in Hradec Králové . In 1951 she became a member of the Prague Divadlo na Vinohradech theater . After making her film debut in Jaroslav Mach's Po noci den as early as 1956, she had her first major appearance as a cinema actress with her portrayal of Luisa in the 1961 drama Smyk - The Abyss against the backdrop of the drama Zbyněk Brynych .

She also got involved as a UNICEF ambassador.

Jirásková was married to the actor Jiří Pleskot (1922–1997) for two years and then lived with the director Zdeněk Podskalský (1923–1993) for 27 years .
