Jim Calhoun
James A. "Jim" Calhoun (born May 10, 1942 in Braintree , Massachusetts ) is an American basketball coach .
From 1986 to 2012 he coached the University of Connecticut men's team , the Connecticut Huskies , which he led to winning the NCAA Division I Basketball Championship in 1999, 2004 and 2011 . Besides Mike Krzyzewski, Calhoun is the only coach who has won more than two championships since the NCAA tournament was expanded to 64 teams (1985). In 2005 he was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame .
In September 2018, he took over the coaching position at the University of Saint Joseph Connecticut in the third NCAA division.
