Jim Hanks

James Mathew " Jim " Hanks (born June 15, 1961 in Shasta County , California ) is an American actor and voice actor .

Life

Jim Hanks was born the son of the cook Amos Hanks and his wife Janet (nee Frager). He is the younger brother of Tom Hanks and has mainly played supporting roles in films that were produced by his brother. Among other things, he doubled his brother in the running scenes of Forrest Gump . Hanks is married to Karen Praxel , with whom he has a son. Since his parents divorced in 1961, he grew up with his mother, while his older siblings Tom, Larry and Sandra stayed with his father. Since 1988 he starred in several films and television series. In 1999 he won the Monaco International Film Festival's Angel Film Award for Best Supporting Actor in Blood Type . As a voice actor, he lent the character "Woody" in Buzz Lightyear of Star Command: The Adventure Begins and several Disney video games in the Toy Story series, including 2001 in Toy Story Racer , 2003 in Extreme Skate Adventure or 2009 in Toy Story Mania ! and in Toy Story 3: The Video Game in 2010 .
