Jim McCann (athlete)

Jim McCann (actually James McCann; born May 28, 1939 ) is a retired Australian sprinter , long jumper and hurdler .

At the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Cardiff in 1958 , he won bronze with the Australian 4-by-110-yard relay, reached the quarter-finals over 100 yards and was eliminated in the long jump in qualification.

In 1962 he came 14th in the long jump at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Perth .

In 1958 he was Australian champion in long jump and in 1967 over 200 m hurdles. He set his personal best over 100 yards of 9.5 s on March 15, 1958 in Brisbane .
