Jimmy Jones (tennis player)

Clarence Medlycott "Jimmy" Jones (born July 10, 1912 in Norwood , London , † March 22, 1986 in London ) was a British tennis player and author from England .

Career

In 1935 Jones won the ATP Queen's Club , but had to share the title with Wilmer Allison . At the Wimbledon Championships in 1936 in men's singles , he reached the last sixteen, in which he again met Wilmer Allison and lost.

After the end of his career, he wrote numerous tennis books.
