James "Jimmy" Murray (born February 4, 1933 in Edinburgh ; † July 10, 2015 there ) was a Scottish football player and coach.
career
Murray played for Heart of Midlothian in the Scottish top league in the 1950s . In 1954 briefly loaned to the English club Reading FC , he then returned to Scotland. In the season 1957/58 he was together with his teammate Jimmy Wardhaugh top scorer in the Scottish League , whereupon Dawson Walker called the player, who had made his debut for the 1958 World Cup in the Scottish national team, in the final squad . In 1961 he joined FC Falkirk , from which he moved to Clyde FC in December 1962 .
After retiring from his career, he worked as an assistant coach at FC Falkirk and the Raith Rovers from 1967 , before he took over the third team at his home club Heart of Midlothian.
