Jinks Island is an island off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula . In the group of Pitt Islands of the Biscoe Islands archipelago , it is 8 km north of Pickwick Island .
It is first recorded on an Argentine map from 1957. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1959 after a character from the serial novel The Pickwickier (1836-1837) by the British writer Charles Dickens .
