Yitzchak Aharonovich ( Hebrew יצחק אהרונוביץ׳, Born August 22, 1950 in Jerusalem ) is an Israeli politician .

Life

Aharonovich studied history at the University of Haifa . In the 1980s he was in command of the northern part of the border police in Israel , and he initiated rescue operations during the two Tire bombings . From 2002 to 2004 he was a representative of the Israeli police , then until 2005 he was general manager of the Dan Bus Company . He was also represented from March 21, 2007 to January 16, 2008 as a member of the Jisra'el Beitenu party as Minister of Tourism in the Israeli cabinet; from April 1, 2009 to May 14, 2015 he was Minister of Public Security .
