Career

His professional career began in 2000 with the Brazilian football club Paulista FC . In 2002 João Paulo Paulista FC left, but returned after two years and two stops in Brazil ( União São João EC , EC Juventude ). Another year later João Paulo came to Europe in Switzerland to Servette Geneva , but when the club had to file for bankruptcy, he moved six months later to Spain to CF Ciudad de Murcia . From there he was loaned to Young Boys Bern in the 2005/06 season , who later signed him. In the second half of the 2006/07 season he was awarded to Racing Strasbourg , but they did not commit him. In July 2011, João Paulo once again ventured abroad . He played in the 2011/12 season for Wisła Płock in the second-highest division in Poland . After the team's relegation in summer 2012, João Paulo was without a club. In 2013 he played another year for Grêmio Recreativo Vila Marlene in his home country of Brazil and then ended his career.
