João de Bruçó

João de Bruçó (* 1958 in São Paulo ) is a Brazilian composer and music performer who combines movement theater, music and clowning in his productions.

Life

Bruçó attended the Academia Paulista de Musica and the Music and Circus School of São Paulo. He has been active in Europe since 1990, invited by Peter Kaizar . He works with Otto Lechner , is a member of the group greyhound records and heads The Captain Nemo Music Band .

In Vienna he realized a number of his own theater projects such as Don Quijote in Concert , Der Fall Ikarus , Franz Joseph , Zorbas and Hortensia , Raymondo and Der liebe Augustin . In collaboration with Ismael Ivo , the Zofen project was created . a. at the Theaterhaus Stuttgart , House of World Cultures in Berlin and the Opera de Rouen. Directed by Klaus Maria Brandauer , he realized in Altaussee salt mine , the game in the mountain of Felix Mitterer .

For the dance show Dolomytica he composed the music with Roderik Vanderstraeten , which was awarded the Premio Danza & Danza in 2004 for the best original music. Bruçó works with the Konnex Theater and the Vienna Dance Weeks and teaches at the Bruckner Conservatory in Linz.
