Jo bouillon

Jo Bouillon (* 1908 ; † 1984 ) was a French orchestra conductor and the fourth husband of Josephine Baker .

Jo Bouillon came from a family of musicians. His father and brother were music educators; the father in Montpellier , his brother Gabriel in Paris . Josephine Baker made numerous records with Bouillons Orchestra. He accompanied her on tours with his orchestra, as did Mistinguett and Maurice Chevalier . In 1947 Bouillon and Baker married in a castle in Les Millandes . After the wedding they bought the castle and moved in there. Starting in 1954, Josephine Baker began to adopt children because she could not have children of her own . In total, she adopted ten boys and two girls of different skin colors. They lived in Les Millandes as so-called rainbow children and all had the surname Bouillon. In 1957, Jo Bouillon separated from Josephine Baker and withdrew from show business. In 1961 the couple divorced. He later went to Argentina and opened a French restaurant there.
