Cho Yeo-jeong (born February 10, 1981 ) is a South Korean actress .

Career

Cho Yeo-jeong first appeared on the cover of CeCi magazine at the age of 16. After that, she initially got a few minor roles in television series and music videos.

In 2010 she got her breakthrough with the erotic film The Servant , which is set during the Joseon Dynasty . The film is based on the tragic saga Chunhyangjeon . Many other actresses turned down the role because of the sex scenes. However, Cho took her chance and the role turned out to be a milestone in her career.

In 2012 she again played the lead role in a historical erotic film, The Concubine . In the same year she played the daughter of a gangster in the romantic comedy series Haeundae Lovers , who falls in love with an undercover agent. In 2014, she played a pregnant wife who is kidnapped in the action thriller The Target .

In 2019, Cho played the role of a naive and consumer-oriented housewife in Parasite , who only realizes the real processes in her life far too late. Her portrayal has received critical acclaim.
