Joachim Adam von Voss (* around 1710 - 1712, † 1772 ) was a royal Prussian colonel and chief of Grenadier Battalion No. 2 .

His father was Joachim Leopold von Voss († May 19, 1734) heir to Germenschlage (Germerslage) in the Altmark .

He entered Prussian service in 1732 (or in September 1728). In Regiment No. 13 (Dönhoff) he was a private corporal in 1740 . In the Battle of Hohenfriedberg on June 4, 1745 he was already Premier-Lieutenant. After 1750 he became a captain and in 1758 a major. On May 25, 1765 he took command of Grenadier Regiment No. 2 (Ingersleben) in Magdeburg . In August 1767 he became a lieutenant colonel and in May 1771 a colonel. In the same year he was released with a pension. However, he died at the age of "60" on October 22nd, 1772 in Magdeburg am Schlagfluss and was born on October 28th, 1772 in the "burial vault of the Lord of Voss" of the St. Nicolai church in Berge, today a district of Werben (Elbe ) , buried.

He took part in the First and Second Silesian War and the Seven Years' War with regiment No. 37 (Braun) .

Together with his brother, he also owned the Germerslage estate, now part of Iden (Altmark) .

Around 1766 he married Johanna Elisabetha Louisa (Johanne Ludovika) von Gebhard, widow of the Prussian colonel and owner of the Grimme estate in Anhalt, Georg Dietrich von Bredow. His wife was born on July 6, 1727 in Bernburg (Saale) as the last of eight children of the Conrector in Bernburg Johannes Gebhardt and Margaretha Jacobe Lange and died on October 24, 1801 in Wagenitz in the Havelland . In 1753, at the instigation of von Bredow, she was ennobled in order to enable marriage among peers. From their second marriage there were two sons, the future Prussian captain Friedrich Johann Nicolaus von Voß (baptized June 12, 1767, † January 1806) and the future Prussian lieutenant Otto Heinrich von Voss († October 29, 1832 in Berlin), and one daughter († after 1772).
