Joachim Bahndorf

Joachim Bahndorf (born April 3, 1957 in Calw ; † May 23, 2013 in Minden ) was a German surveyor and professor at the Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences .

Life

Bahndorf studied surveying at the Technical University of Stuttgart , which he completed in 1980 with the degree "Diplom-Ingenieur". He then worked as a research assistant at the same university until 1984 in the collaborative research center "Light surface structures". In 1990 he received his doctorate here on the subject of "Systematization of the cable network calculation and optimization". In 1994 he headed the special research area "Natural Constructions" as a sub-project manager. He then worked as a software developer at RIB Bausoftware in Stuttgart.

In 2001 he began as a professor for the field of transport engineering and surveying in the architecture and civil engineering department on the Minden campus of the Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences. At the University of Applied Sciences, Bahndorf was given the role of Vice-Rector in 2007 and since 2009 the role of Vice-President for Research, Development and Transfer.
