Joachim Bartholomae

Joachim Bartholomae (* 1956 ) is a German author , translator and publisher .

Life

Bartholomae studied sociology at Bielefeld University from 1979 to 1984 . After completing his studies, he worked at the gay bookstore Männerschwarm in Hamburg and has been the publisher of Männerschwarm Verlag since 1992 (part of Salzgeber Buchverlage GmbH since August 2018).

From 1988 to 1993 Bartholomae was a member of the board of the Aidshilfe Hamburg, from 2005 to 2011 a member of the regional board of the Börsenverein des Deutschen Buchhandels Region Nord.

Bartholomae has published several books on LGBT topics as an editor, translator and author . Bartholomae lives openly gay in Hamburg.
