Joachim Burfeindt

Joachim Burfeindt (born January 11, 1892 in Schwinge , today part of the municipality of Fredenbeck , † January 17, 1982 in Bremervörde ) was a German politician ( DP ).

Life

Before the start of the war, Burfeindt was a farmer and in the First World War he was a war participant from 1914 to 1918. After the end of the war he was a regional councilor and later managing director of the Bremervörde and Zeven railways . In 1929 Burfeindt became a member of the district council. After the " seizure of power " in 1933, he was dismissed from all offices because he belonged to a lodge . In the same year he was transferred to the NS-Reichskriegerbund . In 1936 he joined the NSV . His main occupation was after the end of the Second World War as head of the Stade Electricity Association and chairman of the supervisory board of Überlandwerk Nord-Hannover AG.

Burfeindt was elected district administrator of the Bremervörde district in autumn 1946 and held the office from November 1946 to 1964. He was chairman of the police committee in the administrative district of Stade. Between April 7, 1947 and May 5, 1959 he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament for the 1st to 3rd electoral term. Since March 28, 1951, he belonged to the DP / CDU parliamentary group.
