Joachim Coers

Joachim Coers (* 1965 ) is a German manager . Since September 30, 2011, he has been CEO of Tognum AG and Chairman of the Management Board of MTU Friedrichshafen GmbH and its Labor Director. Coers replaced Volker Heuer , who had held this office until then.

Life

Coers graduated from the University of Bonn with a degree in economics in 1991 . In 1993 he joined the Daimler-Benz group. Until 1995 he worked in the finance department of debis Marketing Service GmbH in Frankfurt am Main . Coers then worked for two years in accounting and controlling in the debis Trading business area in Berlin . He then worked for product and production controlling at the Freightliner Corporation in Portland , USA . Subsequently, from 2000 to 2001, he had commercial responsibility for the Marketing and Service division of Adtranz Daimler Chrysler Rail Systems in Berlin. At the beginning of 2001 he switched to corporate controlling at Mitsubishi Motors Corporation in Tokyo .

MTU Friedrichshafen and Tognum

In September 2004 Coers joined MTU Friedrichshafen GmbH and took on the position of senior project manager. In 2005, Joachim Coers was appointed Managing Director for Human Resources, Finance and Controlling at MTU Friedrichshafen GmbH. When Tognum AG was founded in 2007, Coers took on the position of Chief Financial Officer, Head of Human Resources and Group Services, Labor Director and Deputy Chairman of the Management Board. Coers has been CEO of Tognum AG since October 2011.

The Schwäbische Zeitung reported in April 2013 that Joachim Coers will be leaving the board of directors at Tognum in September 2013.

From July 2013 Joachim Coers was no longer CEO at TOGNUM. His successor is Ulrich Dohle, who has a doctorate in mechanical engineering.
