Joachim Georg Odebrecht (born April 7, 1725 in Groß Kiesow ; † 1801 in Wolgast ) was a doctor of medicine and city ​​physician in Wolgast.

Life

Joachim Georg Odebrecht was the second son of the Groß Kiesower pastor Andreas Odebrecht (1671-1732) and his wife Christina Dorothea Gletzel († 1765), daughter of the pastor Gletzel in Ranzin . While his older brother Andreas (1716–1791) founded the Greifswald branch of the Odebrecht family in Western Pomerania , Joachim Georg was the founder of their Wolgast branch.

Joachim Georg was married to Barbara Regina Müller, the second daughter of the Wolgast businessman Otto Müller († 1753). His son Otto (1768-1853) was a pastor in Hohendorf (Wolgast) . The son Carl (1771-1837) was an old man of the Wolgast merchants. The son Gottlieb (1780–1842) was court judge in Greifswald . The grandson Emil of his second son Carl emigrated to Brazil and founded a very successful group of companies there .
