Joachim Kelsch

Joachim Kelsch (born June 6, 1954 in Berlin ) is a German actor .

Life

Joachim Kelsch was born the son of a toolmaker in Berlin-Spandau and grew up there. At the age of ten he wrote short stories and small plays, none of which were performed. At the age of eleven, he decided to become an actor. Joachim Kelsch made his first acting experiences in the theater group of his school and in the theater group of the parish to which he belonged. Since his parents were not exactly thrilled that he wanted to be an actor, he trained as a nurse.

Joachim Kelsch worked as a projectionist, assembly line worker, commercial clerk, employee in the police service, taxi and courier driver. But acting didn't let go of him. Kelsch took private speech training, voice training, singing and acting lessons. He also learned the art of ventriloquism.

After a longer stay in southern Germany, he has been living in Berlin again since 2006 and is currently working here mainly as a theater actor. Joachim Kelsch was seen on television in the series Das Familiengericht , Die Schwarzwaldklinik and Gute Zeiten, Bad Zeiten, among others .

At the end of 2009 Joachim Kelsch founded the Zimmertheater Steglitz together with his colleagues Günter Rüdiger and Tanja Arenberg, which he left again in autumn 2010. With six other music and theater friends, he founded the non-profit association Metrum Musik - Theater eV in 2015, of which he is also chairman. The association promotes art and culture, among other things.
