Joachim Kurpat (born November 24, 1941 in Grube Marga / Briesker Kolonie in Brandenburg) is a former German soccer player in midfield . He played for the SC activist Brieske-Senftenberg in the GDR Oberliga .

Career

Kurpat played since his youth with his home club SC activist Brieske-Senftenberg. He made his debut for the first team in the 1960 season on October 2, 1960, when he came on as a substitute for Horst Lehmann on matchday 18 against the BSG Rotation Leipzig in the 79th minute . He came to his second game of the season on the 22nd matchday. In the 1961/1962 season , Kurpat completed 14 games, most of them in the second half of the season. In 1962/1963 there were still twelve missions. In these he scored three goals. His first was on September 9, 1962 against SC Motor Jena ; Nevertheless Brieske-Senftenberg lost 4-1. In 1963 Kurpat moved to SC Cottbus , which played in the second-rate GDR league. In his first season in 1963/64 he made 30 missions and scored a remarkable eight goals. He was also a regular player in the following seasons and played many games. After the football department of the SC was spun off in early 1966, Kurpat stayed with the newly founded BSG Energie Cottbus . In 1968/69 it was only enough for him for 19 games, after which he was only sporadic and mostly after substitutions. Kurpat ended his career in late 1972.

In his last year at BSG Energie Cottbus, he worked for the second team as a player- coach and in 1973 briefly as head coach.
