Joachim Luchterhand

Joachim Luchterhand (born November 4, 1942 in Berlin ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 2006 to 2016 he was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives .

Life and study

Joachim Luchterhand finished high school in 1959 and completed an apprenticeship as an "engineering intern" until 1961. From 1961 to 1964 he studied at the SIS Gauß (TFH Berlin), which he completed in 1964 with a degree in engineering. In 1964 he started at Siemens & Halske AG as a sales engineer, group representative, head of department and head of Siemens Professional Education North / East including Berlin. From 1963 to 1999 he was sent to the USA for seven specialist residencies and to South Korea in 1994 . In 2005 he retired.

Joachim Luchterhand joined the CDU in 1990 and belongs to the CDU district association Steglitz-Zehlendorf .

He had been a member of the Berlin House of Representatives since November 20, 2006. He replaced the Member of Parliament Cerstin-Ullrike Richter-Kotowski, who left on November 17, 2006 . For his parliamentary group he is the spokesman for vocational training . In Parliament he was a member of the Committee on Integration, Labor, Vocational Education and Social Affairs, the Committee on Education, Youth and Family and the Committee on Economy, Technology and Women. In 2016 he left the House of Representatives.
