Joachim Wille

Joachim Wille (born July 25, 1956 ) is a German journalist .

Life

Joachim Wille has been a journalist since 1982 and an editor since 1983 . From 1982 to 2012 he worked for the Frankfurter Rundschau . There he was first a news and politics editor, then head of the environment and science department, and most recently as a political reporter. Since 2012 he has worked as a freelance writer, including for FR, the Kölner Stadtanzeiger , the online magazine Klimareporter and specialist publications. Since mid-2016 he has been editor-in-chief of Klimareporter and co-editor-in-chief of the publication movum - the debating magazine of the environmental movement and author of FR.

Awards

Wille has received several awards for his work, especially for his many years of experience in environmental journalism. In 1991 he received the environmental award for journalists for his books Die Tempomacher - free ride into chaos (1988), and Wackersdorf - the nuclear state and the citizens (1987) as well as for his many years of commitment to nature and the environment. In 2001 he was awarded the DUH Environment Media Prize in the Print Media category. In 2005 he was awarded the Bruno H. Schubert Prize , Category 2, in the Römer in Frankfurt . In 2009 he received the Hessian Journalist Prize for his article Hessisches Staatstheater , in which he tells the failure of the almost SPD Prime Minister Andrea Ypsilanti based on the November schedule of the stages in Wiesbaden. The jury praised Willes “puns” and his “keen observation skills”.

In 2015, Wille was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon as one of the “pioneers of environmental journalism”.
