Joachim de Giacomi

Joachim de Giacomi (born February 17, 1858 in Chiavenna , † November 14, 1921 in Bern ) was a Swiss doctor and patron .

Life

De Giacomi received his doctorate in 1886 from the University of Bern with a thesis on the study of atmospheric microorganisms. At the same university he became a private lecturer in internal medicine . He awarded the Swiss Natural Research Society 200,000 francs. In 1921 the Dr. Joachim de Giacomi , whose president is now Jean-Michel Gobat .
