Joackim Jørgensen (born September 20, 1988 in Yven ) is a Norwegian football player . The defensive midfielder has played in his home country and in Sweden, where he won the league title in 2012.

Career

Jørgensen grew up in Stabekk and moved to Sarpsborg at the age of 14 , where he made his adult debut at Sparta Sarpsborg in 2007. The club went on in the following year in Sarpsborg 08 FF . At first he stayed with the second division side as a player, but shortly after the start of the season he switched to third division Lørenskog IF on loan . After his return, initially mainly a substitute, he established himself as a regular player in the course of the 2009 season and made 25 league games in the starting line-up in the following season. He scored six goals this season and was instrumental in the club's rise to the Tippeligaen . There, too, he was undisputed, despite his four goals in 28 first division games, he missed relegation with the team around Tom Erik Breive , Martin Wiig and Kjetil Berge .

In December 2011, the Swedish club IF Elfsborg announced the commitment of Jørgensen, who signed a four-year contract with the Borås club from January 2012. Under coach Jörgen Lennartsson , he immediately became a regular at his new club, before temporarily moving into the second line after an injury. At the end of the Allsvenskan season in 2012 , he won the Swedish championship with the club. In the following season he often wavered between starting line-up and bench.

After his second season in Sweden, the Norwegian club Viking Stavanger announced the signing of Jørgensen in November 2013 , who signed a three-year contract with his new club.
