Joana Danguolė Sadeikienė

Joana Danguolė Sadeikienė (born August 6, 1936 in Kaunas ) is a Lithuanian conservative politician .

Life

In 1941, Joana Danguolė and her parents were expelled to the Altai region ( Siberia ). Her father was sentenced and taken to the Krasnoyarsk camp . In 1947 she fled Siberia with her mother and lived in Joniškis . The mother was arrested again and taken to the Altaj camp . After graduating from high school in Joniškis in 1955, Joana completed a degree in mechanics from 1955 to 1960 at the Kauno politechnikos institutas (KPI). From 1960 to 1961 she worked in Šiauliai as an engineer, from 1961 to 1982 as a research assistant at the Textile Institute. In 1975 she received her doctorate. From 1982 to 1992 she taught at the KPI as a lecturer and headed the design center. From 1996 to 2000 she was a member of the Seimas .

She was a member of Sąjūdis and Moterų konservatorių sąjunga (organization of TS-LKD ).

She is married and has the daughter Aušra.
