Joanna Chmielewska
Joanna Chmielewska (actually Irena Kühn ; born April 2, 1932 in Warsaw ; † October 7, 2013 there ) was a Polish writer .
Life
Chmielewska studied in Warsaw in the 1950s architecture and worked in various state architectural firms as a project assistant. She made her debut with short stories for the Polish magazine Kultur und Leben in 1958. In 1964 she published her first novel. Since the 1970s she has been one of the most widely read authors in Poland and Russia . She mainly wrote humorous detective novels.
