Joaquín Aguirre , full name Horacio Joaquín Aguirre Santellán , (born March 23, 1991 in Nueva Palmira ) is a Uruguayan football player .

The 1.81-meter-tall defensive player has been in the squad of the Uruguayan first division club Atlético Peñarol since at least the 2011/12 season . There he played two games as a substitute in the Primera División in the 2012/13 season and was also placed once in the Copa Libertadores . At the end of the season he was Uruguayan champion with the Aurinegros . He was also the team captain of the Tercera División team. At Apertura 2013 he switched to El Tanque Sisley on loan . There he played 23 league games (no goal) in the 2013/14 season. In the 2014/15 season he was used in 29 first division games (one goal). In the 2015/16 season, 27 further premier league appearances followed (four goals). In July 2016, after the relegation of El Tanque Sisley, he joined the Racing Club de Montevideo . With the Montevideans he made eight first division appearances (no goal) in the 2016 season. In January 2017 he moved to La Equidad in Colombia . For the Colombians, he has so far (as of July 24, 2017) in ten league games (no goal) and three times (no goal) in the Copa Colombia .
