Jobst II. (Schaumburg)

Jobst II. Von Holstein-Schauenburg (* 1520 ; † 1581 ) was Mr. von Gemen from 1557 .

He was born as the second youngest son of Jobst I von Holstein-Schauenburg and Countess Maria von Nassau-Dietz (1491–1547).

Jobst II received the rule of Gemen, which had come into the family through his grandmother Kordula von Gemen , and ruled it from 1557 to 1581. He was the founder of the Gemen family , at an inheritance level with his brother Otto , who had been the ruling count since 1544 Line of the house of Schauenburg. This then ruled the entire county under his grandsons Jobst Hermann von Holstein-Schaumburg and Otto V. von Schaumburg .

He married Elisabeth von Pallandt († 1606) in 1561, with whom he had the following children.
