Aloe kefaensis is a species of aloes in the subfamily of the Affodilla family (Asphodeloideae). The specific epithet kefaensis refers to the occurrence of the species in the Kefa region in Ethiopia.

Vegetative characteristics
Aloe kefaensis grows without a trunk. The leaves form rosettes . The green, indistinctly lined leaf blade is 35 to 45 centimeters long and 8 to 11 centimeters wide. It is usually sparsely covered with light spots. The pale, sometimes tiny, darkly pointed teeth on the leaf margin are 3 to 4.5 millimeters long and 1.2 to 1.9 millimeters apart.
Inflorescences and flowers
The inflorescence consists of a few branches and reaches a length of about 150 centimeters. The loose, cylindrical grapes are 30 to 35 centimeters long. The bracts have a length of 11 to 14 millimeters and are 4.5 to 6 millimeters wide. The scarlet flowers are on 16 to 22 millimeter long peduncles . The flowers are 28 to 32 millimeters long. At the level of the ovary , the flowers have a diameter of 6 millimeters. Above that, they are narrowed to 4.5 to 5 millimeters. Your outer tepals are not fused together over a length of 6 millimeters. The stamens and the style protrude up to 1 millimeter from the flower.
Systematics and distribution
Aloe kefaensis is widespread in the west of Ethiopia in the Kefa region on wooded grassland at an altitude of around 1,800 meters.
The first description by Michael George Gilbert and Sebsebe Demissew was published in 1997.
