Jobst Schlennstedt (born October 6, 1976 in Herford ) is a German writer who writes primarily for crime and travel literature.

Life

After graduating from high school, he studied economic geography at the University of Bayreuth . He has lived in the Hanseatic city of Lübeck since 2004 .

He published his first crime novel Linien in 2006 with Books on Demand . The second volume in the series about Lübeck commissioner Birger Andresen followed in 2007 with Rausch . He also published this on Books on Demand. In 2008 he switched to Cologne-based Emons Verlag with Tödlicheimmen . In 2009, his fourth volume in the crime series about Lübeck commissioner Birger Andresen, Der Teufel von St. Marien, was published there .

In 2010 Pendragon Verlag published the Schleswig-Holstein crime story Morden Between the Sea , in which Schlennstedt appears for the first time not only as the author of a short story, but also as an editor. In the Ostwestfalenkrimi Westfalenbräu (2010), Commissioner Jan-Hinrich Meyer zu Oldinghaus investigates, whom he introduced in the short story Shadows under the Linden trees . In 2011 his Bayreuth crime thriller Tödlicher Abgesang appeared with Commissioners Brunkhorst and Zollinger, as well as his fifth Lübeck crime thriller Möwenjagd . With 111 must-see places on the Baltic Sea coast, he published a travel guide for the first time in 2011, in collaboration with his wife Alexandra.

In 2012 Schlennstedt was co-editor of the Schleswig-Holstein crime ritual, Schöner morden im Norden, by Pendragon Verlag. In addition, Traveblut was the sixth Lübeck crime thriller. As a result, other episodes of his Westphalia, Lübeck and coastal crime novels and the series 111 Places That One Must See were published . In 2015, Schlennstedt's first thriller was released with Coast of Lies .

Schlennstedt is a member of the Syndikats , an association of German-speaking crime writers.
